The Capulets and Montagues were two large feuding families in a city, and often clashed with each other. The Montagues had a 17-year-old son called Romeo, who was well loved by everyone as he was well-behaved and mannerly. One day, Rosaline, a girl that he liked, was sent into a convent. Romeo was disappointed. His friend suggested,“Lets sneak into the Capulet’s banquet and find some prettier girls!” Thus, they masked themselves and sneaked in.

    However, Romeo was struck by the beauty of Capulet’s only daughter—Juliet. She was standing there on a balcony in summer air. She was the star of the banquet. The 13-year-old girl was beautiful beyond words. Juliet saw the lights, saw the party, the ballgowns and she saw Romeo make his way through the crowd. And he said hello to her.

    Romeo went up to proclaim his love for Juliet, and Juliet had mutual feelings for him. No one knew each other’s identity at that time. When they discovered the truth, Romeo was still unable to shake his devotion for Juliet. He scaled the wall and entered the Capulet’s garden, just in time to catch Juliet crying out his name. Apparently, it was love at first sight on both sides.

    Juliet said to Romeo that she wanted him to take her to somewhere they could be alone. Juliet would be waiting for him all there was left to do is run. Juliet sneaked out to the garden to see Romeo. They kept quiet because they knew they would die if their family knew that they were together. Juliet asked Romeo to escape from the town for a little while. “Because you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter,”said Juliet. “Stay a way from Juliet,”said Juliet’s father. But Romeo was everything to Juliet, so she begged him not to leave her.

    Juliet prayed Romeo to save her, because her parents were trying to change to her love for him. Although the road was not easy and comfortable but under the stree and spur of difficulities, it was filled with their love and it was real. They could overcome everything if only there was love between him and her.

    Juliet got tired of waiting for Romeo for a long time. Although she told herself that she would believe him, she still didn’t see him coming. Her faith in him was fading. The wind blew constantly and the weather was cold outside, but her heart was colder than that.

    When Juliet met Romeo on the outskirts of the town. And she shouted and said, “Romeo, save me; I’ve been feeling so alone. I keep waiting for you but you never come. Is this in my own wishful thinking? I don’t know what to think. If you refuse me, I don’ t blame you. But we are still good friends.”

    Romeo shook his head and told Juliet that they were no longer good friends. The hot tears welled up in her eyes. Juliet didn’t believe it was true. She cried and wanted Romeo to give her a reason.

    And then Romeo knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said “Marry me, Juliet, you’ll never have to be alone. We won’t be friends, I want to be your husband. I talked to your father. he finally said yes. Go pick out a white dress. We don’t need to run away, because we can get relatives and friends’ best wishes. I will do more things for you because I love you. It’s a love story, baby, just say Yes.”

    Juliet cried again, but this time she felt happy. She rushed to hug Romeo. And she said, “darling, I love you and that’s all I really know. Of course I will say Yes.”
